About Eileen
Eileen Malaniff is an emerging Irish artist whose work is rooted in community, connection, and participation. Drawing inspiration from everyday interactions and shared experiences, her practice often explores themes of belonging, loss, memory and communication. Alongside her creative work she has been actively involved in local volunteering initiatives, organising community events and collaborative projects that bring people together through art and participation.

News
I’ve been lucky to have been selected as one of the eleven artists to receive funding through Creative Places Balbriggan Making waves seed funding scheme 2026. My project, ‘Cry of the Planet’ will consist of eight two hour workshops exploring, investigating and engaging in conversation around Climate change through drama/performance and movement both nationally and in the local community.

Projects
Click below to explore the projects. These works move between performance, sculpture, and socially engaged practice. Some emerge from personal experience, while others unfold through collaboration with communities and public spaces. Together they explore how bodies, materials, and collective actions can shape meaning. At times intimate and reflective, at other moments outward-facing and participatory, the works respond to specific contexts and encounters. Sculpture becomes a stage, performance becomes a form of listening, and social exchange becomes part of the artwork itself—where private questions and public dialogue intersect.
