About
About
I am a multi disciplinary socially engaged artist who has recently moved into Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. I graduated from NCAD in 2019 as a mature student. To date I have explored memory, relationships, communication, the female body and Shamanism.
Research and investigation informs my work and as a result dictates the form my work takes. Sculptures, Performances, and collaborations have given me an opening to question and explore many different types of media along with how we connect with material and with ourselves.
I have always been intrigued by the conversations we have within and how much it can alter or hinder how we show up and take responsibility for ourselves and the world. This invisible empowering or de-powering language that drives my thought process shapes choices and decisions which can sometimes send me down rabbit holes. That being said, it creates a space to allow ideas to circulate and prompts the creative process into action.
Often rural nuances echo throughout my work using natural and recycled materials as I feel it is our obligation to look after the world we live in and to reduce and reuse items where we can. I work intuitively and my conceptually layered installations offer an opportunity for engagement and spontaneity.
